Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Heath Hayes Academy is committed to providing an appropriate and high quality education for all children. We believe that all children, including those identified as having special educational needs or disabilities, have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum, and are included in all aspects of school life. We believe that all children should be equally valued in school and we are committed to inclusion, which is about equal opportunities for all learners, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, impairment, attainment and background.

The school identifies children who require additional teaching to meet their needs, organises and carries out diagnostic tests, provides individual and small group learning, works with outside agencies to meet the needs as appropriate and maintains regular consultation with parents.

If you have any questions regarding special educational needs and disabilities, have concerns about your child or would like more information about our plans and support, please contact: Mrs Roo – SENDCo – [email protected]
